제어로봇시스템학회 논문지는 1995년에 창간한 우수한 학술지로서, 단 기간내에 평가를 받아 2002년도에 한국연구재단 등재지로 선정되었다. 기존의 공학논문지가 전기공학, 전자공학, 기계공학, 화학공학, 항공우주공학과 같이 독자영역을 중심으로 형성되어 활동하고 있는 반면, 본 학회 논문지는 제어, 로봇, 자동화 및 시스템(Control, Robotics, Automation and Systems)이라는 다학제적 영역을 중심으로 기계, 공정, 시스템은 컴퓨터(Computer), 통신(Communication), 제어(Control) 3C와 메카트로닉스(Mechatronics) 기술을 다루고 있으며 대한민국의 최고수준의 편집진, 염격한 심사관리, 정확한 논문발간을 지향하여 운영 중에 있다.
이에 따라 학술연구목적으로 발간하는 제어로봇시스템학회 논문지(SCOPUS 등재지), International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems(Science Citation Index Expanded 등재지) 영문지 외에 관련분야 회원들간의 정보교류와 산,학,연 기술교류의 효과를 극대화하기 위하여 논문지를 발간함으로써 국내 제어, 로봇, 자동화 및 시스템 기술 수준을 향상 발전시키고자 한다.

Aims and Scope The Journal of Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems is a monthly published periodical. As of 1995, it is a publication of Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems. The purpose of the journal is to provide the dissemination of original Korean research articles on control, robot, and systems in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, chemical, and industrial engineering in order to create a strong synergy effect throughout the interdisciplinary research areas. In the journal, the twelve technical areas included are: Control Theory, Control Applications, Control Devices and Instruments, Sensor and Instrumentation, Robotics and Applications, Intelligent and Information Systems, Manufacturing System and Automation, Process Systems, Industrial Applications, Navigation and Guidance Systems, Information and Networking, Multimedia Systems.
